I first developed a real interest in photography by borrowing my then-girlfriends's DSLR when she was out of the house, back in 2008. Eventually, I bought my own very old and used DSLR and gradually upgraded over time. My skills grew further when I landed a job at a local news outlet, where I had access to professional gear.
During that period, I carried a camera everywhere, constantly practicing both shooting and editing. I even tried selling stock photography - and despite some sales, it didn't bring in much income. Eventually I returned to being a full-time software developer, and photography became a hobby once again.
Nowadays, I mostly use my phone to take photos and video while I travel.
